For Our Families

Welcome to the HCS Family.

Homeschooling happens at home, but families do not have to navigate every question, milestone, record, opportunity, and next step alone. This is your starting place for the resources connected to life at Heritage Christian School.

Your HCS Home Base

Home is where the learning happens. HCS helps connect the pieces.

Every homeschool family looks a little different. Students learn at different paces, use different curriculum, pursue different interests, and may have very different plans after graduation.

That flexibility is part of the strength of homeschooling. HCS provides a school framework around it so families have a place to turn for planning, records, graduation, resources, activities, and the questions that come up along the way.

You do not have to use every resource on this page. Think of it as a home base: start with what your family needs now and return when the next question comes.

One family. One student at a time. One year at a time.

You do not have to solve all twelve years of homeschooling today. Keep good records, look ahead when it matters, make thoughtful decisions, and leave room for students to grow into plans you may not see yet.

A Good HCS Rhythm

A few simple habits can make everything easier later.

Homeschool records become much easier when they are built along the way instead of recreated at the end.

Keep

Save Records

Keep course information, grades, activities, accomplishments, attendance information, and other records as the year progresses.

Review

Look Ahead

Especially in high school, check the student’s likely next steps before choosing courses or assuming a requirement will fit.

Update

Record Progress

Update credits, course descriptions, activities, honors, service, work experience, and accomplishments while the details are fresh.

Ask

Reach Out

When something is unclear, ask before it becomes a bigger problem. One question at the right time can save a great deal of work later.

Plans change. Build a strong foundation anyway.

A student may know exactly what comes next—or change direction more than once. Strong planning and good records help keep options open.

Plan the Four Years

Begin with the student’s possible destination and work backward to build a sensible high-school path.

Track the Credits

Keep a running record of completed coursework instead of waiting until graduation to reconstruct it.

Build the Transcript

Use the transcript checklist and course records to make sure the final record tells the student’s academic story clearly.

Beyond the Books

Education is part of the story. So is everything students discover along the way.

Students grow through academics, but also through teams, activities, leadership, work, service, friendships, responsibilities, interests, and opportunities they may never have expected.

Those experiences are not simply extras. They can help young people discover strengths, learn how to work with others, develop confidence, and begin to understand where they may want to go next.

Need Something?

You do not have to know which category your question belongs in.

If you cannot find what you need, send the question. We can start there.

Learn… Grow… Belong… Discover what comes next.

Every student’s path will look a little different. HCS helps families plan well while leaving room for that path to grow and change.
